• We are 30+ individuals, 19-79 years old. We have different political and religious backgrounds, and we come from 5+ countries

We put aside personal conviction and come together with the common goal of sharing educational resources as a way to fight ignorance and hate.

  • Are you:

    • Confused about what is happening in Israel and Gaza right now?

    • Noticing you don’t have enough information to follow or contribute to conversations?

    • Concerned about bias in news sources, or do you feel like you keep seeing conflicting information?

    • Wishing you knew the context?

    • Afraid of being judged?

HIP volunteers are ready to personally help you understand the conflict by engaging in respectful dialogue with you, and providing resources to help you understand the situation better.

  • Please text! We all have different schedules, and we want to be able to send you links and information. If texting doesn’t work for you, feel free to fill out the Contact Us form on this website, and we will get back to you via email.

  • You will not receive a yes or no answer from a volunteer, nor a clear-cut response. Instead, our volunteers will explain the complexity of the situation, providing you with resources from different perspectives to help you gain a better understanding.

  • All over. We share videos, journal articles, books, podcasts, newspapers, social media accounts, movies, and more. Our Education Team works to curate a resource document that is both diverse and reliable, but we are clear in communicating that we cannot verify every fact in every source. Additionally, depending on the question, some sources are brought in service of demonstrating fact, while others are brought to show the range of narratives. We use different types of sources depending on the goal.

Our aim is to provide a range of perspectives to help you contribute to robust conversations about the Middle East.
